About RAP

Read Aloud Pal is a Houston-based business designed to bring the shared reading experience into the lives of children of all ages. Studies show that reading aloud to children increases language development and introduces important early literacy skills.

Through one-hour reading sessions, our "pals" help foster simple skills such as the art of listening, the method of handling a book, recognition of sounds and letters, and the introduction of vocabulary. 

Our pals are trained in early literacy skills by certified Spring Branch ISD teachers.  In cooperation with Blue Willow Bookshop, our pals come to each session prepared with
age-appropriate books and supplemental resources.
